Meet Geric Sumatra, the visionary founder of Kaizense Academy. With a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and extensive experience as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Process Improvement Manager, and current role as Procurement Head, Geric is dedicated to sharing his expertise and passion for Lean Six Sigma with the world.

Geric’s journey began with a strong foundation in data analysis and process optimization, shaping his career path towards leadership in operational excellence. Transitioning into roles of increasing responsibility, he has mentored over 200 professionals, overseen numerous Lean Six Sigma projects, and led initiatives resulting in substantial revenue growth and cost savings.

Driven by a commitment to excellence, Geric has generated over 200M in added revenue and 500M in annual savings throughout his career. His vision for Kaizense Academy is to empower individuals to become better every day through sustainable and effective learning methods. With his leadership and dedication to continuous improvement, Geric is shaping the future of professional development at Kaizense Academy.

An Assistant Professor and current BS Statistics Program Head, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics (cum laude), an MS degree in Applied Mathematics, and is pursuing a PhD in Statistics. With previous experience in the private sector, he specializes in experimental designs, time series analysis, statistical computing, and survey sampling. His research interests encompass optimal designs, forecasting models, and the application of statistics in market research, business processes, manufacturing, and related industries.
